Poodle Dog

General characteristics

There are three different types of poodle dogs: toy poodles, miniature poodles, and standard poodles. Standard poodles are a type of medium size to large dog breed.

This dog breed is characterized by having a profuse curly coat. Although these dogs are often known as white, they might come in several different colors: brown, red, silver, black, blue, light orange, or multicolored.

Personality

Poodle dogs tend to be very intelligent, happy, sensitive and proud dogs. They also usually are easy to train, active and very alert dogs. Although these characteristics tend to be shared by all poodles, the smaller ones tend to be more nervous and less sociable than the standard ones.

This dog breed tends to be inactive indoors and therefore might be suitable for a small house or apartment. Despite of this, they will need daily exercise to keep in shape and prevent health problems.
